The largest Japanese trading company Mitsubishi Corp. founded a new wood pellets producing and selling company on the South-West of the country. 70 per cent of all shares of the new company belong to Mitsubishi Corp., and the rest of the shares Ц to the local wood working cooperatives and firms.
A new plant producing wood pellets out of cedar bark will be founded in the Oita soon. Its capacity will be 25 000 tons of pellets yearly, and the volume is going to be will be mixed with coal. In the start the pellets will be sold to small companies from Oita, which have their own coil boiling-houses.
Mitsubishi Corp. Plannes to build analogous enterprises in other parts of Japan and later on even in other Asian countries. The company mediates to deepen their producing capacities up till 1 million tons of pellets yearly before 2010.
